Change of plans

My recent experience with ‘Rona put the kibosh on my plans to travel to my childhood stomping grounds of Port Arthur in Southeast Texas to visit my parents.  Truth be told, the trip was probably a foolhardy idea anyway. In these pandemic times, traveling 500 miles to visit one’s 70-something parents and making an overnight stop in our state’s capital along the way? Probably not the wisest notion…
