It is great to hear from people

On two different occasions the past week, I was stopped entering an establishment.
The first time was when a nice lady said, “You are that newspaper guy.” I replied, “Yes I am, how are you?”
She asked me about my granddaughter and my face just lit up.
I told her that Adalae is doing great and thanks for asking about her.
Even the postman asks about Adalae when he delivers the mail to our office.
He said he enjoys hearing some of the stories I shared with him and was jealous because his children have not provided him with a grandchild.
On Monday, I was stopped by Keith Pitner, who said he enjoyed reading my columns. He then remembered that I was from Louisiana and told me about his time running track in college. His team would travel to Lafayette for a meet and his team had a member from Louisiana.
Keith said his teammate could talk among the best of the Cajuns and knew many spots to eat in Cajun Country.
I told him that anytime someone tells me they are heading to Louisiana, I would always tell them where to eat.
It is good to know that people read the Snyder Daily News.
So if you see that face walking in, don’t be afraid to ask me something. I can talk about almost anything.
