1946-2020

David Brian Dunk, 74, of Snyder died peacefully on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel with the Rev. Tony Wofford officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

David Brian Dunk was born May 9, 1946, in Lodi, Calif., to Dallas and Lois (Carver) Dunk. He married Judy Kay Larson on June 8, 1968, in Shelby, Mont. He graduated from high school in 1965 in Sunburst, Mont. He served in the Army from 1965 to 1967.

In 1978, he moved his family to Snyder to work for Schwan's foods. He worked for Schwan's until 1986. He was loved by all of his customers. He later went to work for Key Energy, where he retired.

He was an active member of the American Legion Post 181 in Snyder and he served as co-treasurer for a short time. David was a free-spirited, fun-loving guy. David was a social butterfly who never met a stranger. He had a huge heart and was extremely generous. He looked forward to his daily outings visiting with friends at the local coffee shops, and in his free time he loved to restore old vintage vehicles. David will be remembered fondly by family and friends as a loving husband, father, grandfather, proud American Patriot and U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Steve Parker.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years; two daughters, Stacy Parker of Aledo and Jodie Sorrells and her husband, Kyle, of Petersburg; four grandchildren, Lori Cast and her husband, Michael, of Aledo, Matthew Parker and his wife, Chelsi, of Odessa, Kyla Sorrells and Tanner Sorrells of Petersburg; Five great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Tripp and Beckett Cast of Aledo and Beau and Cutter Parker of Odessa; and two brothers, Dick Dunk of Sunburst, Mont., and Carson Dunk of Kalispell, Mont.  

Memorials can be made to the Montana Veterans Memorial Flag, P.O. Box 56, Sunburst, MT 59482. This memorial flag will be flown in David's memory at the Shelby Veterans Memorial Park.

Pedro L. Argumaniz, 86, of Sweetwater died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, at Snyder Oaks Care Center in Snyder.

Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Sweetwater with Father Nilo Nalugon officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.

Pedro was born April 9, 1934, in Baird to the late Juan and Maria (Lara) Argumaniz. He married Josephine Adamez Oct. 12, 1957, in Sweetwater. Pedro worked for Pace Packing Company and R S & P Railway. He was a United States Army veteran and served in the Korean Conflict; a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish; and a lifelong resident of Sweetwater.

He was preceded in death by his wife; two daughters, Mary Argumaniz and Jeannie Hampton; three brothers, Fernando, Manuel and Frank Argumaniz; and three sisters, Lala Ruttenburg, Alicia Torres and Felipa Argumaniz.

Survivors include two children, Gloria Ortegon and her husband, Frank, of Snyder and Peter Argumaniz and his wife, Carol, of Flower Mound; his son-in-law, Darryl Hampton of Snyder; three brothers, Ruben Argumaniz and his wife, Olivia, of Grand Prairie, Ben Argumaniz and his wife, Concha, of Abilene and David Argumaniz and his wife, Diana, of Sweetwater; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Argumaniz of Abilene and Cindy Argumaniz of Grand Prairie; his brother-in-law, Benino Torres of Sweetwater; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Billy Terry, 88, of Snyder died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, in Sweetwater.
