Severa Longoria, 93, died in Snyder on Friday, Dec. 25, 2020.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.

Mrs. Longoria was born on Nov. 8, 1927, in Weimar to Raphael and Vicenta (Navarro) Longoria. She married Jose Alfredo Martinez in Hamlin. He preceded her in death in 1973. She loved her grandchildren and her dogs, and also enjoyed birdwatching.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Maudecia Gochicoa, Andrea Duetre and Jenoveva Martinez; two brothers, Ernesto Longoria and Pedro Longoria; her son, Amos Martinez; two daughters, Sarah Morgan and Carlonia Gaona; and her grandson, Robert Thamez.

Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Gallindo and her husband, Apolonio, of Snyder and Frances Luna and her husband, Joe, of Garwood; seven grandchildren, Joseph Thamez of Snyder, Douglas Thamez and his wife, Teresa, of Snyder, Sandy Huddleston and her husband, Larry, of Snyder, Nancy Steelman and her husband, Michael, of Snyder, Lisa Thamez and her husband, Ragnor Opiniano, of Huntsville, Ala., Paul Luna and his wife, Marla, of Austin and Russell Luna and his wife, Paula, of Canonsburg, Pa.; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Jessie Longoria of Big Spring; and her sister, Condeleria Contreras of Phoenix, Ariz.

Ruben Hernandez, 93, of Snyder died on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, in Snyder.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Snyder Cemetery with Father Jeremy Trull officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday from at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Ruben Hernandez was born on Friday, Jan. 28, 1927, in Marion to Anselmo Hernandez and Pas Reyes. He married Victoria Lopez and they had five children together. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his son, Roy Hernandez; three sisters, Victoria Garcia, Martina Mendez and Ninfa Rosas; and a brother, Anselmo Hernandez Jr.

Survivors include two daughters, Elbia L. Hernandez of Mineral Wells and Eva Garcia of Arlington; two sons, Robert Hernandez of Snyder and Ralph Hernandez of Snyder; two sisters, Elena Lopez of Joshua and Evangeline Puente of Dallas; two brothers, David Hernandez of Grand Prairie and Celestino Hernandez of Snyder; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
