Helen H. Mendoza, 70, of Snyder died Monday, Oct. 19, 2020 in Lubbock.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Snyder First Assembly with Pastor Steven Pena officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home of Lamesa. Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Face masks are required at the funeral service and seating will be limited.
Helen was born Aug. 7, 1950, to Domingo and Herminda Hernandez. She was married to Perfecto V. Mendoza. Helen was a housewife, and enjoyed working on her yard and decorating her home, and she loved to clean. Spending time with her family was what she loved the most. She loved the color yellow and sunflowers. She was a member of Snyder First Assembly and loved her church family.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; and by her brothers, Ricardo Hernandez, Conrado Hernandez Sr. and Elias Hernandez.
She is survived by her children, Orlando Maldonado and his wife, Maria, of Odessa, Brenda Alvarado and her husband, Blue, of Snyder and Jeremiah Maldonado and his wife, Belinda, of Odessa; by her sister, Herlinda Gonzales and her husband, Federico, of Snyder; her brother, Santiago “Jimmy” Hernandez and his wife, Irene, of Lamesa; nine grandchildren, Ivy Gasper and her husband, Ruben, Alexa Maldonado, Orlando Maldonado Jr., Isaiah Alvarado, Joshua Alvarado and his wife, Aryn, Bergandi Alvarado, Sarah Medina and her husband, Jobani, Tabitha Maldonado and Jeremiah Maldonado Jr.; and seven great grandchildren.
