1952-2020

Mr. Frank James Bennett, 68, of Snyder died on Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel with the Rev. Rocky Alexander officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Bennett was born on Jan. 18, 1952, in Slaton to Thomas Lewis and Glayds (Leatherwood) Bennett. He married Elaine Chester on Dec. 23, 2014, in Snyder. Frank was a member of Ira First Church of God and worked as an oilfield consultant for Sharp Image Energy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Jenna Bennett; and by one great-grandchild.

Survivors include his wife of Snyder; three daughters, Melanie Mize and husband, Christopher, of Aransas Pass, Leigh Ann Porter and Jeremy of Snyder and Marci Smith and C. J. Guerrero of Snyder; his son, Cory Chester of Snyder; his sisters, Dora Elam and her husband, Butch, of Ira and Joyce Ann Ortega; her brothers, Larry Bennett of Amarillo and Billy Bennett and his wife, Emily, of Ira; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Leonard Dale Dunnam

1963-2020

Mr. Leonard Dale Dunnam, 56 of Temple died on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

A graveside service for Mr. Dunnam will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Snyder Cemetery with the Rev. Jay Kincaid officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. No visitation is planned.

Dale was born on Dec. 12, 1963, in Amarillo to Milton and Elouise (White) Dunnam. He married Lisa Sanderson in Temple.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bobby Kirkpatrick.

Survivors include his wife of Temple; his mother, Elouise Kirkpatrick of Temple; his father, Milton Dunnam and wife, Myrna, of Baytown; two sons, Joshua Dale Dunnam of Snyder and Leonard Bryan Dunnam and wife, Edna, of Donna; two daughters, Adriane Rhymes and husband, George, of Buckholts and Amanda Blankenship of Austin; his brother, Frederick Todd Dunnam and wife, Wendy, of Victoria; his sister, Judy Friederich and husband, Larry, of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and 12 grandchildren.

Perfecto V. Mendoz, 77, of Snyder died Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, in Midland.

A private memorial  service will be held at a later time.  Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home of Lamesa.

Perfecto was born Jan. 13, 1943, to Pedro and Juana Mendoza. He was married to Helen H. Mendoza and she preceded him in death Oct. 19, 2020. 

He enjoyed spending time with family, attending church, and working on the yard. He was a member of Snyder First Assembly.

In addition to his wife, Perfecto was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Pete, Valentine and Miguel Mendoza; and his sisters, Alicia Mendoza and Patricia Vasquez.

Survivors include his children, Carol Hinojos and her husband, Arturo, of Odessa, Corina Barrera and her husband, Albert, of Odessa, Christy Mendoza and her boyfriend, Hector, of Odessa, Cindy Marquez of Monahans and Perfecto Mendoza Jr. and his wife, Tammy, of Odessa; his stepchildren, Orlando Maldonado and his wife, Maria of Odessa, Brenda Alvarado and her husband, Blue, of Snyder, and Jeremiah Maldonado and his wife, Belinda, of Odessa; his sisters, Guadalupe Pereda and her husband, Modesto, Susie Arvizu, Marylou Ochoa and her husband, Enrique, Jenny Sandoval and her husband, Tony, Sally Luna and her husband, Felix and Maria Patino and her husband, Ramon all of Arizona; his stepsisters, Olivia Olguin and Lola Mendoza, both of Odessa; his brothers, Joe Mendoza and his wife, Paula, of Arizona and Gilbert Mendoza and his wife, Rita, of South Dakota; 12 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Isael Tavarez, 62, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2020.

Family visitation is will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Alfredo Rodriguez officiating, assisted by Sister Diana Rodriguez. Burial will follow at Ira Cemetery.

Mr. Tavarez was born on Aug. 17, 1958, in San Antonio, Manuel Bena Vides, Mexico, to Austreberto and Guadalupe (Hernandez) Tavarez. He married Stella Vasquez on Sept. 15, 1977, in Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Parents; his brother, Johnny Tavarez; and his sister, Solita Tavarez.

Survivors include his wife of Ira; three sons, Isreal Tavarez and wife, Lisa, of Hermleigh, Leeroy Tavarez of Snyder and Ismael Tavarez and his wife, Chelcea, of Ira; three grandsons, Leeroy Tavarez Jr. of Ira, Wadeyn Tavarez of Ira and Payton Rivera of Hermleigh; five granddaughters, Isabel Tavarez of Snyder, Maribel Tavarez of Lubbock, Annette Tavarez of Midland, Jasmine Tavarez of Hermleigh and Victoria Martinez of Hermleigh; five brothers, Jose Luis Tavarez and his wife, Teresa, of Samuel Bena Vides, Mexico, Cosme Tavarez and wife, Edelmira, of Odessa, Beto Tavarez and his wife, Josephina, of Odessa, Sergio Tavarez and his wife, Betty, of Odessa and Lupe Tavarez of Tulsa, Okla.; and his sister, Carlota Pando and her husband, Jose Luis, of Ojinaga, Mexico.
