Cody slips past a blocker
ROTAN — Cody McCowen’s seven touchdowns powered the Ira Bulldogs to a 70-18 mercy-rule win over Rotan Friday.
McCowen and sophomore quarterback Bryton Partain combined to score nine touchdowns in the first half as the Bulldogs (6-2, 2-0) blew past the Yellowhammers (6-1, 0-1) for their second District 7-1A Div. 1 win.
McCowen ran for touchdowns of 49, 24 and 10 yards in the first quarter.
