The National Association of Letter Carriers will hold its 25th annual Stamp Out Hunger campaign Saturday.

Letter carriers in Snyder will be collecting food during the drive. Residents may leave non-perishable food items by the mailbox in a bag.

The top requested non-perishable food items are cereal, pasta, pasta sauce or spaghetti sauce, rice, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meals, 100 percent juice, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese and canned proteins.

The letter carriers will pick up the bags and all items will be donated to the Scurry County Food Cupboard.

Throughout its history, Stamp Out Hunger has collected more than 1 billion pounds of food.
