The Snyder Chamber of Commerce is planning a 20-year celebration of the West Texas Western Swing Festival in June.
Josh Ortegon, the chamber’s events coordinator, said most of the acts scheduled for the June 8-11 event at The Coliseum are veterans of the event.
“We listened to the feedback of the attendees and asked them to perform again this year,” he said.
Only two new acts are on the schedule — Jeff Woolsey and Coby Carter.
The festival will begin with the burger and beans dinner on June 8 and that will be followed by an informal jam session.
On June 9, Leon Rausch and the Playboys, Tommy Hooker and Jake Hooker are scheduled to perform. Woolsey, Carter and Jody Nix will perform on June 10. Kelly Spinks, Larry Lange and the Troubadours and Billy Mata will perform on June 11.
Two sessions will be held each day — at noon and 6:30 p.m.
Advance tickets are currently on sale at the chamber office and cost $23 each through May 20. Ortegon said online ticket sales will begin Feb. 1. After May 20, daily tickets will be $25 each.
Ortegon said a festival pass is $60 per person.
All of the 50-amp RV spots on The Coliseum grounds have been reserved. Ortegon said several 30-amp spaces are available and may be reserved by calling the chamber office at 573-3558.
