4-H Archery Club to host Spring Fling April 27

The Scurry County 4-H Archery Club will host its second annual Spring Fling on April 27 at the nature trail on Houston Ave.
The 3-D archery and fun shoot will begin at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start. Archers may register the day of the event beginning at 8 a.m. The cost is $20 for adults and $15 for students. 
Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each age division.
The classes are junior (third through fifth grade), intermediate (sixth through eighth grade), senior (ninth through 12th grade), adult male and adult female. 
There will be four different divisions — bare bow, recurve aided, composite aided bow and composite unaided National Archery in the Schools Program bow.
The nature trail will have 20 different 3D targets placed throughout the course.
Other competitions will be a long-distance iron pig shoot for $5, a William Tell apple shoot for $5 and a sky archery fun shoot for $10 per round.
