Activities on tap for Snyder ISD students

Snyder ISD schools have scheduled several events over the final two weeks of school.
On Thursday, Snyder Primary School first grade students will travel to the Abilene Zoo while third grade students will attend a movie screening at Snyder Cinema. Due to limited seating at the theater, school officials are asking parents not to join their children.
On Monday, third grade students will enjoy activities in Towle Park and on Tuesday will play kickball on the Little League fields.
Pre-kindergarten students will attend a movie at Snyder Cinema on Tuesday while second grade students will watch the movie on May 22. Kindergarten students will go to the cinema on May 23. Parents are not asked to attend the movie with their children due to seating limits.
Pre-kindergarten students will participate in Fun in the Sun on the school playground at 1:30 p.m. May 22.
The primary school will present grade-level awards May 22-23. The third grade awards ceremony will be held at 8:30 a.m. May 22, followed by the kindergarten awards at 9:30 a.m. The second grade awards ceremony will be held at 8:30 a.m. May 23, followed by first grade awards at 9:30 a.m. and pre-kindergarten awards at 10:30 a.m.
Parents planning to attend the ceremonies may enter through the main office or back doors with an ID.
Snyder Intermediate School will present fourth grade student awards at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the school auditorium. Fifth grade awards will be presented at 2 p.m. May 22 in the auditorium.
Snyder Junior High School will present student awards at 7 p.m. Monday at Worsham Auditorium.
Snyder High School will announce its top graduates during a student assembly at 10:30 a.m. May 22. Prior to the assembly, the class of 2019 will walk the hallways of the primary, intermediate and junior high schools to greet students.
Snyder ISD will hold a retirement reception for Darrin Duzan, Melia Duzan and Todd Pollard from 4-6 p.m. Monday in the Snyder ISD conference room located at 1600 Scott Street.
