• Arrests
Ashley Marie Elizondo, 20, was arrested at the law enforcement center at 4:15 p.m. Monday on a felony warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Crystal Sha Brown, 26, was arrested in the 1600 block of Keller Ave. at 5:06 p.m. Monday on a felony warrant for abandoning/endangering a child.
Whitney Lee Warner, 29, was arrested at the law enforcement center at 6:23 p.m. Monday on a felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
Joe Luis Fuentez, 30, was arrested at 6:32 p.m. Monday in the 3000 block of 40th Street on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone.
At 7:12 p.m. Monday, two men were arrested at the law enforcement center on felony warrants. Adam Sosa, Jr., 35, was arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Ryle Nathaniel Vaughan, 18, was arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance and on a warrant for hunting at night.
David Thomas Gonzales, 22, was arrested at 9:01 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Cogdell Blvd. on a felony warrant for theft of a firearm.
Jayson Pinney, 18, was arrested in the 4100 block of College Ave. at 9:10 p.m. Monday for failure to identify a fugitive from justice and on a Taylor County probation violation warrant on an original charge of theft.
At 10:50 p.m. Monday, Demetra Ann Cobb, 53, was arrested at the law enforcement center on a felony warrant for theft.
At 10:30 a.m. Monday, a 34-year-old male was arrested in the 1800 block of 24th Street on a warrant for expired registration and on a local warrant for expired/no motor vehicle inspection.
A 35-year-old male was arrested at the law enforcement center at 1 p.m. Monday on a warrant for hunting at night.
A 30-year-old male was arrested at 1:11 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of 29th Street for assault causing bodily injuries.
A 30-year-old female was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Monday in the 1900 block of 24th Street on warrants for display of expired registration, failure to maintain financial responsibility, driving while license invalid and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A 35-year-old male was arrested at 12:43 a.m. today in the 300 block of Coliseum Drive on a Taylor County warrant for injury to a child, elderly or disabled.
At 1:33 a.m. today, a 22-year-old female was arrested in the 600 block of 24th Street on a warrant for theft of property worth more than $100, but less than $150.
• Assault
An assault was reported in the 2500 block of 27th Street at 12:16 a.m. today.
• Burglary
An officer was requested at AAA Storage in the 500 block of Coliseum Drive at 8:21 p.m. Monday in reference to a break-in-of a storage unit.
• Accidents
A two-vehicle accident was reported at 3:27 p.m. Monday at the intersection of College Ave. and 8th Street.
A vehicle was reportedly in a bar ditch on U.S. Hwy. 84 near the Scurry/Garza County line at 4:43 a.m. today. Law enforcement and EMS responded to the call and were unable to locate the vehicle.
• Animal concerns
A calf was loose on FM 1606 in Ira at 4:59 p.m. Monday.
• Monday blotter notes
Scurry County EMS responded to two medical calls.
Three non-accident, traffic-related calls were received.
Two alarms were reported.
Two welfare checks were requested.
One report of fireworks being discharged was made.
Law enforcement responded to two civil issues.
