The Scurry County Appraisal District’s Appraisal Review Board (ARB) will conduct taxpayer protest hearings when it meets Thursday morning.
After the board approves the minutes of its previous meeting, the agenda for the meeting indicates they will “…hear and determine protest and motions from property owners,” including conducting the protest hearings, approving or disapproving the validity of late-filed protests and conducting the approved late-filed protests.
The agenda also indicates the ARB may adjourn to closed session to discuss pending or contemplated litigation.
If any business arises from the closed session, the board will return to open session to conduct it.
An opportunity for public comments will be made available at the start of the meeting.
The meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Scurry County Appraisal District office, 2612 College Ave.
