Armstrong gives four people probated sentences

Four defendants were given probated sentences after entering plea agreements recently in District Judge Ernie B. Armstrong’s courtroom recently.
Billy Ray Kimbrell, 47, of Snyder, was given a five-year probated sentence after pleading guilty to assault, family violence, a third degree felony.
Kimbrell was also ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and $953 in court and attorney fees, as well as participate in the TAIP and Batters Intervention programs.
On June 3, Kimbrell injured his victim by grabbing her neck with his hand. 
Kimbrell has a previous conviction for family violence, in September 2005 in Yoakum County, according to court records.
Amber Lynn Odell, 27, of Hermleigh, was given a five-year probated sentence, deferred adjudication, after entering her plea to a third degree felony charge of forgery. 
In addition to her sentence, Odell was ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and $953 in court and attorney fees and to participate in the TAIP program.
On June 7, Odell forged her victim’s signature on a $4,000 check made out to her.
Adam John Burke, 25, of Whitewater, Colo., was given a five-year probated sentence, deferred adjudication, as part of his plea agreement on a third degree felony charge of evading arrest. 
He was also ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and $953 in court and attorney fees, as well as to participate in the TAIP program.
On May 15, Burke fled in a vehicle from police officer Tanner Garcia, who was trying to arrest him.
Jose Ramon Lopez Jr., 20, of Denver, Colo., was given a five-year probated sentence, deferred adjudication, after he entered a plea agreement on a third degree felony charge of evading arrest.
He was also ordered to pay a $1,500 fine, $1,778 in court and attorney fees and to participate in the TAIP program.
On Nov. 8, 2017, Lopez fled in a vehicle from Joshua Reeves, a police officer who was trying to arrest him.
