  • As the Snyder Daily News reported Tuesday, Atmos Energy began a series of natural gas flare burns to empty distribution pipelines of gas so that maintenance can be performed. A burn was conducted about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of 37th Street and Houston Ave. Similar burns will continue through March 3 in Snyder and southeast of Snyder in Scurry County south of U.S. Highway 84.
