Bank deposits, loans down at Snyder banks

Deposits at three of five Snyder banks were down compared to a year ago, and at two banks compared to the end of September.
Outstanding loans at the local banks were down compared to the end of September, as well as last December.
Combined, the banks who made information available reported holding $349.6 million in deposits as of Dec. 31, 2015, and $159.8 million in outstanding loans.
The banks reported a combined $353.9 million in deposits at the end of September and $370.5 million in deposits in December 2014.
AimBank reported a quarterly increase in deposits of $300,000. The bank reported $47.3 million in December compared to $47 million in September and $47.1 million last December.
West Texas State Bank reported $124.2 million on deposit. That’s a decrease of $600,000 compared to September’s total of $124.8 million. Last December, the bank reported having $130.3 million on deposit.
Community Bank of Snyder reported having $110.6 million on deposit, compared to $118.3 million on deposit in September, a decrease of $7.7 million. Last December, the bank reported having $122.1 million on deposit.
First Bank and Trust reported deposits of $67.5 million in December compared to $63.8 million in September, an increase of $3.7 million. In December 2014, the bank reported deposits of $71 million.
The banks reported outstanding loans of $159.8 million at the end of December. That compares to $159 million in outstanding loans in September and $160.5 million last December.
Community Bank of Snyder reported outstanding loans of $58.3 million, which is $2.8 million less than September’s $61.1 million. Last December, the bank reported $57.1 million in outstanding loans.
West Texas State Bank reported $75.3 million in outstanding loans. In December 2014, the bank reported $73.1 million in outstanding loans and in September the bank reported $71.1 million in loans.
First Bank and Trust reported $26.2 million in outstanding loans compared to $30.3 million last December. In September, the bank reported $26.8 million in outstanding loans.
