Banks announce changes for COVID-19

Local banks have limited lobby services, or have closed their lobby doors completely, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Most changes began Monday afternoon.
Prosperity Bank, Community Bank of Snyder and Scurry County School Federal Credit Union will continue to have limited lobby access and services. Prosperity Bank and Community Bank prefer that customers utilize their drive-through lanes if possible. The credit union has no drive through, and will provide a service desk just inside the front door, restricting further access to the building.
All three institutions suggest that customers call first, either to make an appointment or, in the case of the banks, to determine whether services can be performed in the drive-through lanes.
First Bank and Trust, West Texas State Bank and AimBank have closed their lobbies — except by pre-arranged appointment — until further notice.
First Bank and Trust will offer drive-through services from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Both West Texas State Bank and AimBank will offer drive-through services from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
If a customer needs to use services that are only inside the bank building, such as loan services or safety deposit boxes, they can call the banks beforehand to make an appointment.
Other banking options for local banks include online banking and ATM services.
