The Board of County Development will consider paying a portion of the tab for the Snyder Chamber of Commerce’s Fourth of July fireworks show when it meets Wednesday morning.
Chairwoman Chloeanne Lindsey said she is unsure as to the exact amount the county’s share of the fireworks costs, but said it will be no more than last year’s amount.
“We paid $4,200 last year and we’ve been assured it won’t be any more than that,” she said.
The Snyder City Council recently approved spending up to $4,125 for the city’s portion of the show.
Also Wednesday, the board will consider raising the reimbursement on the county’s Business Improvement Initiative Program, requiring two signatures on invoices and purchasing an ad in the Snyder Daily News’ city and county road map and Community and Visitors’ Guide.
Wednesday’s meeting begins at 8 a.m. in the third floor courtroom of the county courthouse. It is open to the public and time has been set aside for public comment on non-agenda items.
