Operation Round Up allows the Big Country Electric Cooperative trust and its members to partner together to provide financial assistance to area organizations, families and individuals.
Applications for this year’s allocations will be accepted until 5 p.m. Nov. 17.
The program is supported by co-op members whose electric bills are rounded up to the nearest dollar. The extra money goes into the Operation Round Up fund for distribution to individuals, families and organizations that have demonstrated a financial need in Borden, Fisher, Garza, Haskell, Jones, Kent, Mitchell, Nolan, Scurry, Shackelford, Stonewall and Throckmorton counties.
Assistance may be provided for food, shelter, medical bills, health needs, rescue organizations, educational projects and childcare programs.
To apply, visit bigcountry.coop or contact Sarah McLen, key accounts executive, at (325) 776-3803 or smclen@bigcountry.coop.
