A boil-water notice for Ira Water Supply Corp. (IWSC) customers living east of the water storage facility on FM 1606 was still in effect this morning, company officials said.

IWSC President Darryl Calley said a water line break east of Ira Thursday caused water pressure levels to drop below acceptable levels, necessitating the boil-water notice. The notice affects approximately 30 customers living near the Dunn community.

The line break had been repaired as of Friday, but the boil-water notice remained in effect until water samples could be tested by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Those test results had not been received as of Wednesday morning, Calley said. He was hopeful results would be back today.
