Chamber board to review $32,800 in HOT fund requests

The Snyder Chamber of Commerce board of directors will consider $32,800 in hotel occupancy tax (HOT) fund requests during Monday’s meeting.
The Scurry County Museum is requesting $3,300 for its Feb. 13 Chocolate Fest fundraiser.
Snyder ISD is asking for $5,000 for the Best of the West high school baseball tournament, scheduled for March 10-12.
Western Texas College is requesting $6,500  for the annual National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association rodeo, which will be held March 31 through April 2 at The Coliseum.
Sponsors of the Snyder Softball Invitational are asking for $8,000 for the March 11-13 high school tournament.
A request for $10,000 was submitted by the Snyder Wheels Car Club for the May 6-7 car show and cruise.
Directors also will discuss the proposed 2016 budget and reports will be presented by the Gold Coat representative and Executive Director Linda Molina.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the chamber office boardroom.
