If approved Monday, 30th Street and Memorial Way may soon receive new surfaces.

Sealcoating 30th Street between College Ave. and El Paso Ave. and Memorial Way from College Ave. to 48th Street will cost $398,877 according to a bid-sheet from Jacob and Martin.

Robert R. Wagner and Company of Kendalia submitted the low bid and when they meet via teleconference Monday, the Snyder City Council will vote whether to accept that bid.

Wagner’s was one of two bids received for the project.

Council members will also vote on a tax abatement request from Llano Escondido, LLC, for a proposed apartment complex.

The complex would be located along Ave. T between 21st and 22nd Streets, according to a drawing in the agenda packet.

The council will also vote on a pair of COVID-19-related items: whether to extend the city’s disaster declaration and whether to apply for a grant with the Texas Division of Emergency Management for the Coronavirus Relief Fund Program.

The council is also expected to vote on quarterly investment report and April financial report, as well as a mayor pro-tem.

Steve Highfield is the current mayor pro-tem.
