With only four members present Monday night, the Snyder City Council tabled action on calling three bond elections for improvements.
Council members Steve Rich, Rodney Dupree and Vernon Clay voted to table action. Mayor Pro-Tem Steve Highfield, who was re-elected to that post during the meeting, did not vote. Mayor Tony Wofford and council members Luann Burleson and Thomas Strayhorn  were absent.
The city’s staff was scheduled to discuss a $6 million bond for street improvement, a $3 million bond for a new city hall and a $1.5 million bond for a new city barn facility.
City Manager Merle Taylor said the city has until Aug. 22 to call a special election for Nov. 8.
The $6 million for road improvements would be divided equally among the six council members, Taylor said. If one council member does not need the entire $1 million, the remaining funds would be divided equally among other council members.
Taylor said the city would like to use the $1.5 million to build a new warehouse and yard on 37th Street.
A new city hall, which was one of the lowest priorities by the public on the city’s proposed comprehensive plan, would be cheaper to build than renovating the current building, Taylor said.
He said renovations at the current city hall would include extensive plumbing repairs and making the building compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The council also tabled action on the 2016-17 budget until more council members are present. The city staff requested a special meeting for later this month to discuss the 2016-17 budget. It was not decided on Monday if the bond discussions and votes would be included on that agenda.
