The Snyder City Council will face a short agenda, with only two new items up for a vote, when it meets Monday.

The council will vote on renewing its contract for employee health insurance through the Texas Municipal League and the quarterly investment report.

During its April meeting, the council approved paying for the 10 percent increase in health insurance premiums, and will pay $773 per employee in the upcoming fiscal year.

The council will also receive an update on the community policing and certification program.

The council will hold two special meetings in the coming weeks, on May 9 to canvass the municipal election results and on May 15 to administer the oaths of office.

All three meetings will begin at 5:30 p.m. and be held in the council chambers at Snyder City Hall. They are open to the public and a time has been set aside during Monday’s meeting for public comments on non-agenda items.
