Scurry County Commissioners will consider extending the county’s declaration of disaster for an additional 30 days when they meet in a special session Tuesday morning.

Commissioners will discuss a resolution and order approving a Transportation Infrastructure Fund grant program agreement for the county before addressing the declaration of disaster extension.

In other business, the court will consider certifying additional revenue in the form of a supplement payment from the Texas Association of Counties for unemployment surplus, and swear in new County Treasurer Kirsta Koennecke.

The court will consider line item transfers, budget amendments and accounts payable before adjourning into closed session to discuss personnel matters, namely the position of Scurry County Youth Center director.

When the court reconvenes in open session, the commissioners will consider setting dates for conducting interviews for the position, or filling the position based on the applications without conducting interviews.

A time for public comment will be available at the start of the meeting.

The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Scurry County Courthouse.
