County meeting cancelled due to lack of quorum

Due to a lack of a quorum, today’s Scurry County Commissioners’ Court meeting was cancelled.
Only Pct. 1 Commissioner Terry Williams and Pct. 4 Commissioner Jim Robinson were present, and the meeting was rescheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday.
In addition to considering accepting donations for the Scurry County Senior Citizens Center and Scurry County Library, commissioners were also scheduled to approve line-item transfer and monthly bills. The only other action item today was to approve the minutes from the Oct. 13 meeting.
Williams said paying the bill was the main agenda item that needed to be done during the meeting.
“Those bills need to get paid,” Williams said. “I think the line-item transfer can wait, but we don’t want to run the risk of any of those bills being late.”
