The Development Corporation of Snyder (DCOS) board of directors tabled action today on participating with Snyder ISD on a Jobs and Education for Texans grant through the Texas Workforce Commission.
Executive Director Bill Lavers said the school district did not receive the grant and would like to work with the administration to apply for a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Block Grant to purchase a 3D printer and flight simulator. He said the cost for the printer is $68,000 and the simulator cost is $86,000.
Lavers said the district and DCOS could work on a grant and have it submitted to the USDA in December and learn the results in the spring.
Following an 85-minute closed session to discuss real property, prospects and incentives, the board took no action.
