Wednesday morning, Snyder High School will hold its annual coronation for class favorites, sweethearts, and Mr. and Miss SHS.
Class favorites and sweethearts have already been determined, and Mr. and Miss SHS will be announced at coronation.
Band sweethearts will be Lisa Fisk and Johnny-Dean Maresch. The baseball sweetheart is Madison Lieb, and the boys’ basketball sweetheart is Hannah Cervantes. Jax Collier will be both the girls’ basketball and cheerleaders’ sweetheart. The choir sweethearts will be Whitney Tubbs and Collin Guynes, and the cross country sweethearts will be Madison Yescas and Corey Landin.
The debate and speech sweethearts will be Adrianna Juarez and Alfredo Hernandez, and the Fellowship of Christian Students sweethearts will be Baylee Green and Jeremiah Valenzuela. The football sweetheart will be Nataly Aparicio and the FFA sweetheart will be Whitney Tubbs. Jordyn Stewart will be the boys’ golf sweetheart, and Kolton Chapman will be the girls’ golf sweetheart.
The National Honor Society sweethearts will be Jesi Hunter and Kade Hunter, and the powerlifting sweethearts will be Bonnie Jasper and Bryson Duncan.
Ryan Rodriguez will be the softball sweetheart.
Kate McWilliams and Seth McGrew will be the student council sweethearts, and Abigail Reyes and John Hernandez will be the tennis sweethearts.
The theater sweethearts will be Caitlyn Crane and Noah Grant.
The Tiger’s Lair sweethearts will be Janet Cabrera and Chad Martin Jr., and the Tiger’s Tale sweethearts will be Caitlyn Crane and Randy Hernandez. The boys’ track sweetheart will be Madelynn Cravens, the girls’ track sweetheart will be Gregory Williams, and the volleyball sweetheart will be Jayden Samaniego-Sanchez.
The class favorites for the freshman class are Azariah Sosa and Kevin Nguyen. The sophomore class favorites are Katie DeLoera and Isael Rios. The junior class favorites are Jazmin Soliz and Dylan Rodriguez, and the senior class favorites are Stephanie Rios and Corey Landin.
Miss SHS nominees are Madelynn Cravens, Tegan Dickson, Bonnie Jasper, Kate McWilliams and Chloe Rodriguez.
Mr. SHS nominees are Kade Hunter, Corey Landin, Jayden Samaniego-Sanchez, Sammy Sosa and Gregory Williams.
The ceremony will begin at 8:15 a.m. in Worsham Auditorium. The master of ceremonies will be theater director Clark Reed, and musical entertainment will be provided by students Collin Guynes, Jordyn Stewart and Caitlyn Crane.
