Firefighters respond to weekend house fire

A fire caused major damage to a home in the 300 block of 23rd Street Saturday morning. Firefighters received the call shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday and had the fire out in about an hour, according to Fire Marshal Nathan Hines. No one was home at the time of the blaze.
