First freeze possible this weekend

The first freeze of the season is possible Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
A cold front will move through the region tonight, dropping temperatures to the mid 40s in Scurry County. Winds will shift from the southwest to northwest tonight at 10 to 15 mile per hour.
On Friday, the high is expected to be near 58 degrees with wind gusts of 25 miles per hour in the forecast. Friday night’s low will be around 31 degrees and Saturday’s high will be in the mid 50s.
The low on Saturday night will be in the mid 30s.
Sunday’s high will be in the mid 60s and lows will be in the mid 40s, according to the forecast, and skies will be mostly clear.
Highs for the first part of next week are expected to be in the mid 70s while lows will be in the higher 40s and lower 50s.
No precipitation is expected when the cold front moves through the region.
The weather service has not issued any warnings for the area.
