Five people indicted by grand jury this week

Five people, including four Snyder residents, were arrested this week after being indicted by a Scurry County grand jury.
Stetson Scott Shirley, 27, of Sweetwater, was indicted on a state jail felony theft charge. He is accused of stealing clothing and jewelry valued at less than $100 from his victim on Dec. 13. Normally a misdemeanor, charges against Shirley were enhanced to state jail felony status by two prior theft convictions — in January 2014 and May 2015, both in Nolan County.
Charges are enhanced further by two felony convictions against Shirley — in March 2014, he was convicted of possession of methamphetamine in Taylor County, while he was convicted of unauthorized use of a vehicle in October 2015 in Nolan County.
Shirley’s bond was set at $5,000.
Rudolf Martinez, 51, of Snyder, was indicted on state jail felony possession of a controlled substance charge. He is accused of possessing less than one gram of methamphetamine on July 8. Martinez’ indictment was further enhanced by two prior felony convictions — for burglary of a building in June 1990 in Bexar County and robbery by threats in October 1992 in Bexar County.
His bond was set at $5,000.
Jeremie Randall Price, 41, of Snyder, was indicted on third degree felony possession of a controlled substance charges stemming from his arrest last October. He is charged with possessing more than one gram but less than four grams of Psilocin.
His indictment was further enhanced by two prior felony convictions — both for assault, family violence. The first conviction was returned in October 2006 in Midland County, with the subsequent conviction returned in February 2012 in Ector County.
His bail was sent at $5,000.
Joshua Ray Martinez, 30, of Snyder, was indicted on the third degree felony charge of evading arrest. He is accused of fleeing via vehicle from Snyder police Officer Whitney Merket on March 18.
Bond for Martinez was set at $5,000.
Machele Cathleen Flores, 37, of Snyder, was indicted on state jail felony possession of a controlled substance charges. She is accused of possessing less than one gram of methamphetamine on Sept. 23.
Her bond was set at $5,000.
