Four men arrested after being indicted

Four men were recently arrested on felony charges after being indicted by a Scurry County grand jury.

Jose Guadalupe Espinoza, 56, of Snyder, was indicted for driving while intoxicated, third or more offense, a third degree felony. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated on Sept. 18. His indictment stated he previously had been convicted of driving while intoxicated on April 3, 2001 in Floyd County and on Jan. 3, 2008 in Jones County. Bond was set at $5,000.

Will David Bailey, 21, of Snyder, was indicted on the third degree felony charge of evading arrest. He was charged with intentionally fleeing in a motor vehicle from Snyder police Officer Joshua Reeves on Jan. 13. His bond was set at $5,000.

Norris Lee Williams, 35, of Snyder, was indicted on a state jail felony charge of evading arrest He was charged with fleeing on foot from Snyder police Officer Tanner Garcia on Feb. 2.

Williams’ indictment was enhanced due to three prior alleged convictions — evading arrest on July 31, 2013, felony theft on Sept. 15, 2011 and felony theft on July 15, 2014, all in Scurry County.

 Bond for Williams was set at $5,000.

Jim Bob Smith, 57, of Talpa, was indicted for third degree felony driving while intoxicated. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated on Nov. 8. The indictment stated he had been previously convicted of driving while intoxicated on July 10, 2003 and on Feb. 17, 2004, both in Ector County. His bond was set at $5,000.
