Government offices and local financial institutions will be closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day.
All offices at the Scurry County Courthouse and Snyder City Hall will be closed, as well the Scurry County Library, which will also be closed Saturday.
The landfill will be closed Saturday, but will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Monday.
AimBank, Community Bank of Snyder, Prosperity Bank, Scurry County School Federal Credit Union, Texas Savings Bank and West Texas State Bank will all be closed Monday. West Texas State Bank and Community Bank of Snyder will also be closed on Saturday.
The Snyder and Ira school districts will have staff development days and students will not report to class.
Snyder ISD students will have an early release day on Tuesday for parent-teacher conferences, which will be held in the afternoon.
Hermleigh ISD and Snyder Christian School will be closed while Western Texas College will have classes on Monday.
