Gutierrez trial to start Monday

Andres Gutierrez III, 34, of Snyder will stand trial starting Monday in the 132nd District Court’s temporary venue at Snyder High School’s Worsham Auditorium.

Jury selection will begin on Monday.

Gutierrez has been indicted on a state-jail felony charge of burglary of a building, stemming from a crime which occurred Sept. 15, 2019. 

According to the indictment, Gutierrez entered a building without the consent of the owner in order to commit theft of property.

The trial is the first to be held at Worsham Auditorium.

Gutierrez’s attorney is Sam Darnall of Abilene, while 132nd District Attorney Ben R. Smith will prosecute the case.
