Hermleigh third in Class 1A state drama competition

Hermleigh High School’s one-act play finished third at the Class 1A state contest Thursday night in Round Rock.
Two members of the These Shining Lives cast earned individual honors. Brianna Rawls was named to the all-star cast and Haygen Halkowitz received honorable mention all-star cast honors.
Other members of the cast and crew were Serenaty Vargas, Baeleigh Botts, Camryn Hill, Grace Rister, Mercedes Smith, Jacklyn Clinkinbeard, Colter Smith, Kaebrean Hill, Brittany Smith, Tyler Thompson, Stormi Cobb, Emma Dugan, Blake Hancock, Riley White, Javier DelReal and Bailey Pierce.
Abbott’s Treasure Island won the state title Ackerly Sands finished second with Golden Boy.
