The Hermleigh ISD board of trustees approved the sale of three parcels of land it received bids for during Tuesday’s meeting.
The school district advertised bids for five parcels of land, but received bids for three.
Lot 4 in Block 76 in the Town of Hermleigh was sold for $7,000 while Lot 2 in Block 89 of the Town of Hermleigh sold for $3,309. The third parcel, Lot 3 in Block 70 of the Town of Hermleigh, sold for $2,225.
No bids were received for Lot 2 in Block 76 of the Town of Hermleigh or Lot 3 in Block 69 of the Town of Hermleigh, Superintendent Ronnie Roemisch said.
Also during Tuesday’s meeting, the board approved a resolution nominating Joe Taylor to be placed on the ballot on the Scurry County Appraisal District board of directors. The latest policy updates from the Texas Association of School Boards were also approved by trustees.
Roemisch also reported the school district ended the first six-weeks with an enrollment of 241 students. Two students were honored for being named students of the six weeks. Clarissa Rios was named the elementary student of the six weeks and Colton Messick was named the secondary student of the six weeks.
Following a closed session to discuss personnel, the board took no action.
