The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) on Monday began to post COVID-19 case counts and deaths by facility name for state supported living centers, state hospitals, and state-licensed nursing and assisted living facilities, although the data is several weeks out-of-date.

According to data posted Tuesday, which reflected information as of July 14, Goodlife Senior Living and Memory Care has had no cases of COVID-19 among staff or employees.

Snyder Oaks Care Center has had at least 34 employees test positive and eight residents, although HHS does not clarify if any of those positive cases were among the false positives announced earlier this year.

According to HHS data, on July 14 Snyder Oaks had three active employee cases and one active resident case. HHS reported that as of the same date seven residents have recovered.

According to an HHSC press release, because nursing facilities and assisted living facilities self-report data to HHSC, staff must review and correct any clerical or reporting errors to ensure data integrity. Data posted on these facilities will reflect counts two weeks prior to the date of posting.

Data is posted at https://hhs.texas.gov/services/health/coronavirus-covid-19.

Scurry County officials said late Tuesday that nine additional individuals had recovered from COVID-19, while seven individuals tested positive. That brings the number of active cases to 56, recovered cases to 93 and YTD positive cases to 150, including one death.

TDCJ officials announced late Monday that six additional Price Daniel Unit employees are considered recovered, although the number of active employee cases remains at 13 — which means five additional employees have tested positive this week. TDCJ said 272 individuals have moved off medical restriction, leaving 355 under that status, and 253 remain on medical isolation. The unit remains one of 39 statewide on precautionary lockdown.
