Snyder’s Towle Park now has a new feature — a fairy trail scavenger hunt.

Creator Jeanette Pritchard installed 17 fairy and gnome doors around Towle Park and encouraged parents and their children to find all of them. The doors will be in the park through Thursday, at which point they will be taken down in preparation for a hunt in North Park, which will occur at a later date.

Pritchard encouraged parents to take photos of their children with each door and to post it to Facebook and tagging her.

The first child to find all the fairies and gnomes and post photos will be featured with a door of their own in the next hunt.

She also said that children could submit names for the fairies and gnomes.

Pritchard said that children should be careful and watch for spiders and other insects that might crawl on the fairy and gnome doors, and small children should be assisted in opening the doors, as some of them are heavy.

Pritchard posted a map of the areas where the doors are located on her Facebook page to help with the hunt.

“Good luck and I hope you enjoy the fairy and gnome hunt,” she said.
