HOT fund meeting Monday

The Chamber of Commerce’s Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday to discuss requests for funds totaling more than $78,000 for 12 upcoming events. According to the meeting’s agenda, organizers requesting funds include:
•Tony Paul of Circle Bar Ranch Motorsports, requesting $7,500 for an event scheduled May 1-3. Paul’s presentation is scheduled at 5:30 p.m.
•Terry Leatherwood, requesting $10,000 for the Snyder Wheels Car Show, scheduled May 3-4. Leatherwood’s presentation is scheduled at 5:40 p.m.
•Brady Evans, requesting $1,150 for Hold Your Horses, scheduled May 4. Evan’s presentation is scheduled at 5:50 p.m.
•Nicole DeGuzman, requesting $10,000 for the Scurry County Museum Festival, scheduled May 30. DeGuzman’s presentation is scheduled at 6 p.m.
•Josh Ortegon, requesting $10,000 for the West Texas Western Swing Festival, scheduled June 10-13. Ortegon’s presentation is scheduled at 6:10 p.m.
•Beverly Ridenour, requesting $10,000 for Petticoats on the Prairie Vintage Market, scheduled June 19-20. Ridenour’s presentation is scheduled at 6:20 p.m.
•Josh Ortegon, requesting $2,500 for the annual July 4 Celebration, scheduled July 3 and 4. Ortegon’s presentation is scheduled at 6:30 p.m.
•Bob May of the Scurry County Pro Rodeo Association, requesting $5,000 for a rodeo scheduled July 16-18. May’s presentation is scheduled at 6:40 p.m.
•Melissa Gutierrez, requesting $2,500 for Punisher Bash and Splash, scheduled July 18-19. Gutierrez’s presentation is scheduled at 6:50 p.m.
•Luis Alaniz, requesting $5,000 for the Cinco de Mayo Festival scheduled May 2. Alaniz’s presentation is scheduled at 7 p.m.
•Jennifer Campbell, requesting $5,000 for the Breast Fest/IBCA Cookoff, scheduled July 24-25. Campbell’s presentation is scheduled at 7:10 p.m.
•Barbara Leatherwood, requesting $10,000 for the Pops Memorial Junior Golf Tournament, scheduled July 10-12. Leatherwood’s presentation is scheduled at 7:20 p.m.
The meeting and presentations will take place in the Snyder Chamber of Commerce board room, 2302 Avenue R., and are open to the public.
