Intermediate school to host career day

Snyder Intermediate School will host a career day Tuesday.
Eighteen speakers from the community and surrounding area are scheduled to share their career experiences with students.  The event is part of the school’s Red Ribbon Week celebration.
Scheduled to speak are Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Norma Martinez, optometrist Dr. Jason Cave, Texas Ranger Phil Vandygriff, Snyder High School (SHS) automotive teacher Robbie Jamison, Snyder police officers Bea Lopez and Robert Clark, Snyder Mayor Tony Wofford, physical therapist Neil Cowley, Scurry County Museum director Daniel Schlegel Jr., SHS Pride of the West band director Jeremiah McCurdy, Dr. Ryan Morris and SHS baseball coach Shane Stewart.
Also scheduled to speak is National Oceanic and Atmospheric Federal forecaster Amber Hluchan, Clay Cade on overseas oil, Snyder Fire Marshal Brad Bawcum, Scurry County Agricultural Agent Greg Gruben, Snyder ISD Athletic Director Cory Mandrell and Lauren Collier with T&K Dairy.
