Ira one-act play claims awards at district meet

Ira ISD’s one-act play performance of Nasty Things, Murders by Arthur Lovegrove featured several students who won awards for their roles in the show.
Anzlee Hale was named to the all-star cast for her performance as Mary, Jessica Heiskell received an honorable mention all-star cast for her performance as Louise, and sound and light technician Rykin McCown was an all-star crew member.
Other cast members included Sydney Mathis as Ethel, Breauna Hall as Madge, Kandice Clark as the Matron and Molly Jamison was an alternate cast member. Other crew members include stage manager Kylie Miller and Charlotte Highfield.
The play involves a murder at the Home for Retired Gentlewomen. When one of the women begins exhibiting strange behavior, the others suspect her of the crime.
