• Arrests
Matthew Christopher Marquez, 31, was arrested at 10:42 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Ave. U and 42nd Street on a parole warrant on an original charge of illegal credit card use and on a warrant for failure to appear at a show cause hearing regarding failure to pay court costs.
Jason Dye, 34, was arrested at 9:11 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of 34th Street on warrants for possession of a controlled substance, assault on a peace officer, impersonation of another person to create liability, attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, failing to appear at a show cause hearing regarding failure to pay court costs and failing to appear at a parent education and family stabilization course.
At 9:26 a.m. Saturday, a 48-year-old female was arrested in the 400 block of Coliseum Drive for driving while license invalid and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A 24-year-old male was arrested at 7:02 p.m. Saturday in the 3000 block of Crockett Ave. for public intoxication.
A 28-year-old female was arrested at 3 a.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of 20th Place for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and public intoxication.
Police arrested a 21-year-old female for assault at 5:54 p.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of 29th Street.
• Assault
An officer was requested at Cogdell Memorial Hospital at 12:21 p.m. Sunday in reference to a patient who reported he had been assaulted.
• Thefts
A barbecue pit was reported stolen from the 400 block of 28th Street at 2:48 p.m. Saturday.
Beer was reported stolen from 7-Eleven on Coliseum Drive at 7:13 p.m. Saturday.
An air compressor was reported stolen from a residence in the 1100 block of 28th Street at 2:52 p.m. Sunday.
• Criminal mischief
An officer was requested in the 4100 block of Jacksboro Ave. at 3:50 a.m. Sunday in reference to a house being egged.
At 11:55 a.m. Sunday, an officer was requested in the 2200 block of 40th Street in reference to the back window of a vehicle being broken.
• Accidents
A hit-and-run was reported at 4:18 p.m. Saturday on the Walmart Supercenter parking lot.
At 7:41 p.m. Sunday, a vehicle hit a deer on U.S. Hwy. 180, near FM 1606 and CR 264. The vehicle suffered significant damage, but no medical transport was made.
• Gas leak
A gas leak was reported at Norma’s Cafe at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Atmos Energy was notified.
• Water leak
A water leak was reported in the 3900 block of Muriel Drive at 11:48 a.m. Saturday. The Snyder Water Department was notified.
At 9:01 a.m. Sunday, a water leak was reported in the 3400 block of Ave. U. At the same time, a water leak was reported in the 2300 block of 41st Street. The Snyder Water Department was notified of both leaks.
A water leak was reported at 6:50 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of 29th Street. The Snyder Water Department was notified of the leak.
At 4:36 a.m. today, a water leak was reported in the 500 block of 26th Street. The Snyder Water Department was notified.
• Fires
Controlled burns were called in at 12:38 p.m. Saturday from the 2600 block of Business U.S. Hwy. 84, at 1:21 p.m. Saturday from the 2700 block of CR 248 and at 1:38 a.m. Sunday from the intersection of Keller Ave. and Ave. P.
• Animal concern
A person reported seeing a dog get into their garbage at 10:46 a.m. Saturday in the 2200 block of 24th Street.
• Loud music
Loud music was reported at 3:01 p.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of Peyton Ave.
• Weekend blotter notes
Scurry County EMS responded to six medical calls.
One non-accident, traffic-related call was received.
Six alarms were reported.
Two close patrols were requested.
Two welfare checks were requested.
Law enforcement responded to six civil issues.
