Snyder High School held its annual coronation for class favorites, sweethearts, and Mr. and Miss SHS.
Miss SHS nominees were Madelynn Cravens, Tegan Dickson, Bonnie Jasper, Kate McWilliams, and Chloe Rodriguez. 
The nominees for Mr. SHS were Kade Hunter, Corey Landin, Jayden Samaniego-Sanchez, Sammy Sosa, and Gregory Williams. After announcing all the sweethearts, favorites, and nominees, Corey Landin and Bonnie Jasper were announced as Mr. and Miss SHS.
Landin is the son of Rita Rubio and Joe Gutierrez. He played football for four years, was named academic all-district two times and was named the Grant Teaff Character award recipient. He was also the homecoming king. He competed in cross country for four years, qualifying for regionals three times. 
He was named the Newcomer of the Year in cross country his sophomore year and hardest worker of the year twice. Landin played basketball for four years. He played one year of baseball and competed in track for three years. 
Landin served on the student council and was president his senior year. He has been class favorite all four years. He was also a senior class favorite and cross country sweetheart.
Jasper is the daughter of Jay Jasper and the late Maria Jasper. She played softball for three years and was a two-year letterman. She  competed in powerlifting all four years and qualified for regionals three times. She was a state qualifier twice. 
She’s been a member of student council three years, serving as secretary one year. 
She has been in National Honor Society two years and has served as a student athlete trainer two years. Jasper finished in the top 10 percent of her class all four years and was named homecoming queen. She’s a founding member of the STREAM bus team, earning first at the TMCN competition, earning a scholarship. She was also the powerlifting sweetheart.
