The Scurry County Library is accepting donated books, movies and music for its annual book sale, which is scheduled for the second weekend of November.
The sale will be at the armory in Towle Park Nov. 12-14 and all the proceeds will go to next year’s summer reading program at the library.
Library Director Linda Jones said she is also seeking volunteers to help answer questions at the front desk at the book sale. Volunteers will work in pairs for two-hour shifts, and Jones said she tries to pair first-time volunteers with someone who has worked the sale before.
The sale’s hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Patrons will be able to fill a bag with items in exchange for a donation to the library.
