Snyder High School students will witness firsthand the effects of drinking and driving Thursday morning.

Shattered Dreams, a program that depicts the scene of an accident involving teenagers, will be staged in Towle Park beginning at 9 a.m. Students at Snyder High School will be portraying accident victims.

Snyder police Officer Robert Clark said residents will hear sirens during the event, but “nothing will be wrong. It will be Shattered Dreams.”

Clark said agencies scheduled to participate are the Snyder Police Department, Scurry County Sheriff’s Office, Snyder Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Western Texas College security department, Native Air, Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home, Miller Family Funeral Home and Lubbock Wrecker.

The students will witness how first responders secure an accident scene on Thursday and an assembly to discuss Shattered Dreams will be held at 9 a.m. Friday in Worsham Auditorium.
