Local bank deposits are up compared to 2017

The total amount Snyder’s banks held on deposit at the end of December jumped during the past year, rising by $15.2 million since September and increasing $57.6 million from December 2017’s reported total. 
Over the past year, outstanding loans continued to fall, dropping by $27.9 million.
Combined, the banks that made information available reported holding $379.2 million in deposits as of Dec. 31, and $113.4 million in outstanding loans.
The banks reported a combined $364 million in deposits at the end of September and $321.6 million in deposits in December 2017.
Each of the four banks that provide information reported increased deposits over the last year, and three reported an increase during the last quarter. 
West Texas State Bank reported $118.4 million on deposit in December, $11.4 million more than was reported in September. Last December, the bank reported having $110.8 million on deposit.
First Bank and Trust reported $106 million on deposit at the end of December compared to $96.9 million on deposit at the end of September. Last December, the bank reported $63.4 million on deposit.
Community Bank of Snyder reported having $98.9 million on deposit in December, compared to $97.2 million on deposit in September. Last December, the bank reported having $97.4 million on deposit.
AimBank reported $55.9 million on deposit at the end of December, compared to $62.9 million at the end of September. Last December, the bank reported holding $50 million on deposit.
The banks reported outstanding loans of $113.4 million at the end of December, compared to $108.7 million in outstanding loans in September and $141.3 million last December. All three banks that provided information reported a decrease over last year, and only one reported an increase over the past quarter.
West Texas State Bank reported $65.9 million in outstanding loans at the end of December. In September the bank reported $59.5 million in loans. Last December the bank reported $78.8 million in outstanding loans.
Community Bank of Snyder reported $39.9 million in outstanding loans at the end of December, compared to September’s $41 million. Last December, the bank reported $49.5 million in outstanding loans.
First Bank and Trust reported $7.6 million in outstanding loans at the end of December compared to $8.2 million at the end of September. Last December, the bank reported $13 million in outstanding loans.
