Local banks report quarterly drop in deposits

Deposits at two of five Scurry County banks showed year-over-year growth, but all four that report results are down compared to the end of the June quarter.
Outstanding loans were up compared to the end of June, but are down compared to last September.
Combined, the banks who made information available reported holding $353.9 million in deposits as of Sept. 30, and $159 million in outstanding loans.
The banks reported a combined $363.9 million in deposits in June 2015 and $338.7 million in deposits in June 2014.
AimBank reported a quarterly drop in deposits of $3.7 million. The bank reported $47 million in September compared to $50.7 million in June and $27.3 million last September.
West Texas State Bank reported $124.8 million on deposit. That’s a decrease of $2.2 million compared to June’s total of $127 million. Last September the bank reported having $122.6 million on deposit.
Community Bank of Snyder reported having $118.3 million on deposit, compared to $120.8 million on deposit in June, a decrease of $2.5 million. Last September, the bank reported having $119.7 million on deposit.
First Bank and Trust reported deposits of $63.8 million in September compared to $65.4 million in June, a decrease of $1.6 million. In September 2014, the bank reported deposits of $69.1 million.
The banks reported outstanding loans of $159 million at the end of September. That compares to $152.1 in outstanding loans in June and $164.6 million last June.
Community Bank of Snyder reported outstanding loans of $61.1 million, which is $2.7 million higher than June’s reported $58.4 million. Last September, the bank reported $57.1 million in outstanding loans.
West Texas State Bank reported $71.1 million in outstanding loans. In September 2014, the bank reported $75.7 million in outstanding loans and in June the bank reported $66.4 million in loans.
First Bank and Trust reported $26.8 million in outstanding loans compared to $27.3 million in June. Last September, the bank reported $31.8 million in outstanding loans.
