Local churches react to COVID-19

Entities respond to Coronavirus spread

Several area churches have announced alternative schedules and service formats in response to COVID-19/Coronavirus concerns.
Snyder’s First Presbyterian Church has canceled in-person activities and established a Facebook page to share each week’s message, prayer concerns and other information on Sunday mornings. Services will be streamed live at 11 a.m. on Sundays.
Lighthouse Assembly of God Church has canceled all in-person services until April 1. Everyone can join the service online through Facebook and YouTube Sunday mornings and evenings. 
The church will hold a video conference  March 25 at 7 p.m. To join the videoconference, text (325) 575-0581. 
Snyder First Assembly of God will be moving online until further notice. They will continue to have services on the church website, FaceBook and their Vimeo.com channel.
Colonial Hill Baptist Church will have online-only services going forward. Our Sunday service will be streamed on local cable channel 2 at 10:50 a.m. and on Facebook.com/colonialhill.
Calvary Baptist Church will hold no services or activities today. The church will hold online only services through Facebook and YouTube this Sunday at 10:30am. Grow Groups will be meeting to watch the service together in host homes. There will be no Sunday evening service this week. The church will reevaluate next week.
First United Methodist Church has cancelled in-person services for the next two weeks and will be streaming them on Facebook Live. The church will reevaluate on March 31.
The 37th Street Church of Christ leaders have decided to cancel all gatherings until at least the first Sunday of April. They will monitor the situation closely, and reevaluate on April 1.
Snyder’s First Baptist Church will be moving services online so that no services will be held on the church grounds. They will be posting links to services on the church website and streaming via Facebook Live. The church elders will meet weekly to reassess the situation.
Trinity United Methodist Church’s leadership team will meet today to determine whether to continue services as usual.
East Side Church of Christ has postponed their Ministry Fair until further notice, but will continue normal service times.
Avenue D Baptist Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church will not be changing their service schedules.
