Area law enforcement pursued a vehicle that at times exceeded 100 mph for almost two hours across a portion of northwest Scurry County before arresting the driver and charging him with a variety of felony and misdemeanor charges.

He faces felony charges of evading arrest and unauthorized use of a vehicle, as well as misdemeanor marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession charges. He also is charged with displaying fictitious license plates.
Monday’s pursuit began shortly after 3 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 84 near the Garza County line when a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) trooper reported he was in pursuit of a southbound white Chrysler with Nevada license plates.
