Marricle files for hospital board re-election

An incumbent has filed for his seat on the Scurry County Hospital District board of directors.
Benny Marricle will seek re-election to his post, the first of the Cogdell Memorial Hospital’s directors to file.
The district has three seats up for election. 
Six incumbents on other local boards have also filed to defend their positions.
Snyder City Council members Steve Rich in District 2 and Thomas Strayhorn in District 4 have filed for re-election to their seats.
In the Snyder ISD school board race, Carrie Richardson in District 4 and Doug Neff in District 5 have filed for re-election.
Incumbents Drew Bullard and Mike McWilliams also filed for re-election to the Scurry County College District board of directors — the board that governs Western Texas College.  
While the four boards — Snyder City Council, Snyder ISD school board, Scurry County Hospital District board and Scurry County College District board — will hold elections for new members May 2, school boards for Ira ISD and Hermleigh ISD will hold their next elections in November.
Those interested in running in any of the four May elections may file weekdays through Feb. 14 at the administrative headquarters for the entity in question.
The city’s council four single-member district seats are up for election. Snyder ISD has three places up for election.
The Scurry County Junior College District (WTC) currently has two at-large positions up for election, while the Scurry County Hospital District (Cogdell Memorial Hospital) currently has three of its seats up for election.
